We appreciate that the use of social media and the internet by children can cause parents to worry. There is a lot of information that parents can access that supports the work that we do in school.
If you have any concerns about your child being bullied on-line by another student at the school then please contact the school as a matter of urgency. If your concerns surround your child being bullied by an an uknown person/people then we would ask that you contact the police as a matter of urgency before contacting us.
We have added the CEOP 'Report It' button to our website (this can be found at the bottom of every page) and this gives parents and students the ability to instantly report offensive material to CEOP- the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.
Tuesday 9th February 2021 is National Safer Internet Day - the theme is: 'An internet we trust : exploring reliability in the online world.’
This year in the UK, Safer Internet Day explores reliability online. The internet has an amazing range of information and opportunities online, but how do we separate fact from fiction? Documents about Fake News, Persuasive Design, Online Hoaxes and Gaming, streamers and influencers are available in the document list at the bottom of the page, along with a Parent and Carer guide "What to trust online" and conversation starters about the topic.
