Volleyball National Finals!

The U15 boys competed in the U15 Volleyball National Final in April . The U15 Final this year was held at Kettering Conference Centre on the same day as the Senior Finals. This ensured that there would be a good crowd watching. Boswells fielded a very young team this year mainly made up of Y9 students and some Y10 students who were attempting to defend the title they won last year.
Our record against Richmond this year has been poor and we had lost to them in a previous round so expectations were to enjoy the occasion and try to compete.
This is exactly what we did in the first set playing the best volleyball we had played all year. We were unlucky to lose the set 25-23, through a few unforced errors that cost us at critical times in the match. In the second set Richmond raised their game and achieved two amazing service runs and won 25-15.T
The result should still be considered a major success and to come second in the country shows the amount of work the boys have put in.
Incredibly since 2004 the Boswell U15 boys’ teams have made every single final with this being their 15th appearance in a row and the boys should be proud of their achievements despite the final result!
