PAC Barcelona Tour 2019
Tue 30 Apr 2019
The bi annual Performing & Creative Arts Tour took place during the Easter holidays and this year 47 students headed off to Platja D’Aro in the Catalonia region of North East Spain.
With an effortless journey by plane the group arrived in resort with time to explore the local area, hit the beach and get some shopping time. The next 2 days were spent working really hard in either the Dance or Acting workshops – with material created from the Madness musical ‘Our House’ and the hit National Theatre play ‘The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night’. Workshop providers Will Taylor and Ahmet Ahmet worked the students intensely and created some superb work. In the meantime the art and photography students were treated to some wonderful art history from a range of artists, styles and time periods in Barcelona, including the hop on off hop bus tour with a particular highlight being the visit the Gaudi House – the roof was an absolute pleasure to see.
A day at PortAventura ensured thrill seekers got their moment – with rollercoasters, log flumes and river rapids a plenty. The last day enabled some shopping and sightseeing in Barcelona before the last few hours were spent soaking up the sun on Barcelona beach.
A thoroughly enjoyable trip with lots of fun and laughter – well done and thank you to everyone who took part.
